Thunderkat is Sydney based performance artist.
Thunderkat’s skills span from puppetry, children’s entertainment, burlesque, mc-ing, producing and visual arts. She has worked as a freelance performer, is co-Artistic Director of Umbrella Theatre Company and Co-Producer of the Sydney Fringe Festival Mystery Bus. She has performed widely at venues and events including the Powerhouse Museum, Horden Pavilion, Riverbeats Festival, Harvest Festival, Carriageworks Arts Centre, Sydney Convention Centre, Moomba Festival, Jurassic Lounge, the Rocks Village Bizarre, Sydney Festival and the Roundhouse Theatre in London. She has also presented for programs on Channel 31 and SBS, as well as appeared in short films and work by Gary Friedman Productions.
Thunderkat has also attained a Graduate Certificate in Arts Management and Certificate III in Screen Production, and has worked extensively within the industry. She sat on the Advisory Committee for the Vibewire Enterprise Hub, managed the C-Cubed Theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and currently works in communications for a large entertainment venue.
In her spare time, Thunderkat has written as a food critic for a website, started a zine distro, was a member of a rent-a-crowd and is a co-founder of the Sydney Roller Derby League.
